We have put together a list of the top ten cars that our experts feel that last the longest! Reliability is key when choosing a new car, so we have set out to help you make the right decision.
1. Volvo V40
Volvo is traditionally known for their reliability, and the V40 is no exception. It ranks high in the reliability ratings. As a bonus, the V40 is also an exceptionally safe car. Definitely a strong contender in our book!
2. Honda Civic
Honda is a company known for their reliability. Some of the highest mileage cars that are still running have been made by this premium Japanese manufacturer. The Civic remains as popular as ever and a car you won't regret buying!
3. BMW 1 Series
We love the 1 Series, and with rear wheel drive, the car gets an extra special, premium feel. Certainly, one to consider.
4. Volkswagen Beetle
The beetle has been around for decades. You can be part of one of the most famous cars on the market today. The Beetle is fun to drive and Volkswagen's quality is evident throughout.
5. Volkswagen Golf
No list would be complete without a mention of the Golf. This is Volkswagen's signature car. It just keeps getting better. A real contender for reliability, safety, residual values and economy.
6. Mercedes A Class
We love the A-Class. It is a roomy car with a very premium feel. The A-Class has come a long way from its original design. The automatic version is our favourite. Lots of fun to be had with this car!
7. Mini Cooper
Mini is a premium car made by the german manufacturer BMW. Exactly what you would expect from a front wheel drive BMW, with a lovely sporty edge. It reminds us of driving a go-cart, and we love it!
8. Ford Focus
As popular as ever, the Focus remains a great option for families. It's great to live with, economical, has plenty of room and is good to drive. Perhaps lacks the build quality of some of the other choices on this list.
9. Audi A3
Always a great choice. The A3 with its front wheel drive system could be a great alternative to the 1 Series, although not quite as good to drive.
10. Hyundai i30
Hyundai isn't perhaps one of the manufacturers that automatically springs to mind when thinking about reliability. However, Hyundai is near the top of many reliability polls. The brand is doing very well in recent years, and when it comes with a five-year warranty you must consider it!
These are our favourite top ten most reliable cars, in our opinion. Of course, there are plenty of brands that continue to top the charts that didn't make this list. Toyota, Lexus and Subaru are also extremely reliable brands worth considering!
