The prestigious Expanded London Motor show returns to the ExCel Centre in London Docklands in May 2018, sparking a surge of excitement that promises record-breaking attendances and a swathe of world-renowned brands. In 2017, at the Battersea Evolution, the event attracted a massive 25,0000 visitors and hosted 130 cars, however, overwhelming demand has prompted organisers to return to the same venue that hosted the event in 2008 in order to utilise the significant floor space available at the ExCel, which is 2.5 times larger than the Battersea Park venue.
The purpose-built ExCel is London’s newest exhibition centre, and with a locality of just 10 minutes from Canary Wharf and 15 minutes from central London, it is highly accessible from various transport links.
Organisers of the huge event have promised to provide enough displays and activities to fill a fun day out for families and enthusiasts alike, including examples of the future of driving, road safety displays, and specific zones dedicated to families so that kids can engage in activities tailored to young automotive fans.
The event will take place between 17th - 20th of May and will host some of the world’s most prominent dealer groups, offering an eclectic mix of brands that will represent a cross-section of luxury, volume, and prestige brands.
Alec Mumford, chairman of The London Motor show, is expecting a successful and fun-filled event, saying: “This year’s event (sic) was the biggest and best yet, but with more space, exhibitors, cars and guests, we’re going to go one better next spring.”
The return to the ExCel centre provides an excellent opportunity for brand exhibitors to reach out to substantially more visitors than the show’s past events at the Battersea Park, where it has been held since 2016. As with the increase in floor space, brands will be able to display a much greater volume of cars.
