Why buy an AA inspected car?

Corner Park Garages, Swansea and Cardiff

How can you be sure you are making the right choice? How can you become more than 100% sure that the car you are about to buy, is an actual bargain and not just another fraud?

We know that when you are looking for a used car, you want to be sure that you’ve “hit the nail on the head” with your purchase both in finance and quality terms.

If we have to be honest, that is not an easy job to do at all (especially if you know little about cars)! For this reason, when it comes to buying a new car, you always seek your friends’ opinion asking them whether you should buy this particular model or not.

What if you don’t have such type of friends? You still need to buy this car right? Who do you ask? Maybe you Google about it, search some forums, but that’s pretty much it. You can’t understand to its core, if what you are buying is actually good. You still need to be told that. You still need a third party individual who has some authority on car specs that you can trust his/her word. And that is really important for you.

It is really important on our side as well, to feel that we can be trusted, and we get the feeling that you are rest assured with the decision of that car you are going to buy from us.

For this reason, it really important for us to let you know that all our vehicles are AA inspected and that you can rest assured that if the car of your choice has the slightest scratch, it won’t go unnoticed. But what are the benefits of buying an AA inspected car?

What is the AA?

The Automobile Association (AA) is a motoring organisation that dates back to 1905. Since then, motorists have trusted the brand reaching millions of members throughout the years making it the largest motoring organisation, with the most dedicated patrols than anyone else.

Today, the AA does not only provide you with safety solutions but also helps you organise your finances and even buy a used car.

The AA and The AA Motoring Trust also provide expert knowledge and advice on transport issues, which are respected by AA members, the public, safety experts and the Government.

What are the benefits of having your car inspected by the AA?

There are three key benefits you are going to get if your car is inspected by the AA.

a) Motor Vehicle Inspection

The AA provides you with an independent and thorough pre-purchase inspection of your vehicle and avails the vehicle inspection report to you. à benefit

In terms of the car inspection, there are two different types you could choose from. The first one is the basic inspection which consists of 154 safety checks, including mechanical and vehicle operations, as well as previous accident damage for vehicles that are up to eight years old.

The second one is the comprehensive inspection which consists of 206 safety checks. Those include all the basic inspection checks mentioned before, plus the 10-miles road test, roadworthiness, previous body repairs, and mechanical and electrical functions checks. The comprehensive inspection covers vehicles that are up to 15 years old.

b) The Vehicle History Check

Not many car sellers will be willing to tell you the exact history of their cars because they are afraid it might scare you and not to make the purchase, as you initially intended. Even worse, not having the full vehicle history check, you could end up buying insurance write-off, stolen cars or vehicles that are about to be repossessed.

The AA inspection will provide you with the history of the vehicle you intend to buy. The AA actually ensures you that the vehicle you are about to buy does not have any hidden problems that could potentially cost you thousands of pounds in the end.

The vehicle history that the AA provides will help you know if there’s money owing on the vehicle, any unpaid fee that you would have to pay as the new owner, the expiry date of the warrant of fitness and the vehicles fuel economy, emissions and safety ratings. The report will also include the original purchase date as well as the date it was sold.

c) The Vehicle’s Valuation

Through the AA inspection, a fair market value for the vehicle that you want to purchase is given. The AA will provide you with all the information on the trade-in price based on the condition of the vehicle and the private sale price if the car is sold privately.

You will also be informed about the car’s safety rating, that will occur from the crash test results. You will also find additional information about the vehicle’s consumption of fuel and the particular features of the car such as the transmission, power, engine size, safety information and fuel type.

Bottom Line

It is almost impossible to take the right decision when purchasing a car if you know little about cars. The AA provides you with an independent, comprehensive report of its proper inspection.

At Corner Park, we ensure that all your worries about your second-hand car purchases are allayed through our strict adherence to the AA inspection.
